1. Private Pilot - Approximate Cost: $18,000.00*
- Be at least 17 years of age (Student pilot 16 years)
- Can carry passengers, but not for hire or compensation
- Pass a written, oral and practical test
- Must have logged at least 40 hours of flight training (national average is 50 to 60 hours)
2. Commercial Pilot - Approximate Cost: $43,500.00*
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Can carry passengers and can do so for hire or compensation
- Pass a written, oral and practical test
- Must have logged at least 150 hours of flight time
3. Certified Flight Instructor - Approximate Cost: $60,000.00*
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Pass 2 written, 1 oral and practical test
- Can give flight and ground instruction
- Must have logged at least 150 hours of flight time. 200 flight hours to instruct in Robinson helicopters
4. Sport Pilot
